With the help of Tom sawyer , Huck managed to free his friend jim by digging an escape tunnel. Tom twisted his ankle and jim took care of him . When they got back to the town a doctor defended jim and explained how helpful he was . and Tom informed them that jims mistress Miss Watson had freed him before she died . He also gave him 40 dollars as recompense . Jim was very happy and decided to go back home . Aunt Sally decided to adopt Huck to civilize him . Whereas Huck thinks of running away again because he doesn’t like being civilized .
As a black servant , jim was treated badly . Explain?
