Admission RequirementsOfficial Bachelor and Graduate Degrees (if applicable) Certificate and Tran******In order for a student to be qualified for acceptance to the MBA program, the applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Local Students – All Students Who Completed their Bachelor and Graduate Degrees (if applicable) in Kuwait:
Students should submit the original copy of their Degree Certificates and Tran******s for every higher education institution they attended – certified by the Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education – along with their admission application.
If these ********s are in language other than English, students must provide a certified English translation in addition to the original copies.
International Students – All Students Who Completed their Bachelor and Graduate Degrees (if applicable) Outside Kuwait: Students should submit the original copy of their Degree Certificates and Tran******s for every higher education institution they attended – certified by the originating country and Kuwaiti Embassy within that country and Kuwait Ministry of Higher Education. English Language RequirementAUM is an entirely English-medium university where all materials and instructions are provided in the English Language. Students must demonstrate their English Language Proficiency through one of the following ways:
The AUM English Language Assessment Test (minimum score of level III)The AUM English Language Assessment Test can be taken on campus where the score is immediately calculated. Applicants who are unable to achieve level III may repeat the test once.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): 500 for paper – based test (TOEFL- iBT 61, TOEFL- CBT 173)Applicants must provide the original copy of their TOEFL score as a proof of English Language Proficiency. Scores should not be more than two years old.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 5.0A minimum score of 5.0 in the IELTS test must be obtained in order to be admitted into the AUM MBA program. Original score copies must be submitted to AUM. Scores should not be more than two years old.
Exemption from the English Language Proficiency RequirementExemption will be given at the discretion of AUM. Applicants may be exempted from the English Language Proficiency requirement if they have a bachelor or graduate university degree from an English-based institution located at a country where English is the official language.
Graduate Aptitude TestsApplicants to the AUM MBA Program are required to submit one of the following Graduate Aptitude Tests
GMAT GRE Résumé (C.V.)Applicants must submit a professional resume with relevant work experience, responsibilities, education, and extracurricular activities. A minimum of 2 years of work experience is preferred.
Recommendation LettersTwo official letters of recommendation should accompany the application.
Goal Statement PresentationAUM determines the eligibility of applicants and their motivation for enrolling to the program through the goal statement presentation. In this presentation applicants are asked questions about their future goals and ambitions and to explain how the MBA program will contribute to the achievement of these goals.
Other required ********sIn addition to the above mentioned requirements, students applying to AUM should provide the following ********s along with their admission application:
1 Copy of your passport (original should be presented for verification) 1 Copy of valid residence permit for non-Kuwaitis living in Kuwait (original should be presented for verification) 1 Copy of your Civil ID (original should be presented for verification) 2 Passport size photographs (maximum 6 months old) Important notesAll certificates, tran******s, and ********s submitted to AUM must be in English or certified English translated copy along with the original one. The tran******s must list all subjects studied, grades earned, and qualification (certificates) awarded. All ********s need to be certified by the concerned authorities.
