The Eiffel Tower
The Eiffel Tower is the most recognizable landmark in Parisand is known worldwide as a symbol of France. Named after its designer gustave Eiffel it is a premier tourist destination with over 5 million visitors per year. Thet ower was built in 1887-1889 for the exposition universelle , it is about 300 meters tall . gustave Eiffel built it with steel to prove the fact the fact that steel can be as strong as stones , it took 2 years 2 months and 5 days togive the tower its shape . visiting the Eiffel tower at night is very different from viewing it during the day , the lights at night are very beautiful every hour for 5 minutes the lights display sparkles for the rest of the hour the lights are still on but they are not sparkling , being one of the worlds most romantic and beautiful places , people around the world come to visit the Eiffel tower in huge numbers
