Problem definition/ scenario: You are working as developer in an Advanced-Tech Company. You got a request from a recruiting company to design a database to store applicants' information and track each application to which major is related to. This database should be used by the administration department secretary of the company.
a- State the six steps of the database design process.
b- Define the first step of the database design process.
c- Design the database required for the previous scenario by applying the six steps of the database design process taking into consideration the scope of the database.
d- Implement your table by using MS Access database application.
i- Create a new folder and name it project.
ii- Save your database file in the project folder.
iii- Name the database file recruiting.
e- Create the forms of the tables.
f- Enhance and customize your forms by using design view of the forms:
i- Add pictures
ii- Add labels
iii- Add input masks for the required fields
iv- Add the combo boxes for the look fields if required
g- Enter sample data in all tables by using the forms.
h- Make queries of the following criteria:
i- Find all applicants where the University degree is computer engineering
ii- Find all applicants where the desired salary < 1000
i- Design report by using the report wizard for the previous queries.
j- Put the database file on a CD and attach it with the theoretical part of the project.
Note: Use the attached application sample to gather and review the existing data.
