Log in and at the top of your page there should be a link to the Settings. After you've clicked on Settings, scroll all the way down and under Save there should be a link that says Delete my account. Click on that and it should ask you if you are sure you want to delete your account. Click Okay, fine, delete my account. Your Twitter will then be deleted.

On the right side of your home page, you will see your screen name, and two links. One link will be to update your profile, and the other link will be a link to change your Twitter settings.

Click on the Settings link, which will take you to the page that has all of the options you can use to personalize your account, add or change your personal information and make other account adjustments.

The "account" tab should already be selected. Scroll down, and on the lower left hand side of the page in blue, you will see an option that says "Delete My Account". Click on this link.

A confirmation page will be displayed, asking if you want to delete your account. Click on the confirmation link to delete your Twitter account.
